TIRANA, Feb. 9 – The Foreign Ministry reported Tuesday that Albanians will be able to visit Turkey for up to 90 days within a six-month period, while the EUR 10 entry fee will no longer be paid at border crossings. Beyond that time period persons should apply for a visa.
That is based on an agreement signed between the two countries last November and which entered into force Jan. 27, according to the statement.
Turkey becomes another country in a small list of such countries asking for no visa for Albanians.
Albania is expecting to have a visa-free regime from the European Union Schengen member countries, most likely by this summer.
