ROME, Italy, March 2 – The Italian media reported that police had arrested 27 persons, many of them Albanian, accused of getting involved in drug trafficking.
Police in Foligno had issued 34 arrest warrants.
They are accused of distributing cocaine.
Albanians are always mentioned as part of the Italian drug gangs. Albania is a transit country for the heroin coming from Afghanistan and also a main producer in Europe for cannabis sativa.
