KORCA, March 23 – The Greek consulate in the southeastern city of Korca accused the leader of the Omonia minority association, Spiro Lici, of corruption in assisting people to get visas.
The letter of the consulate also sparked the row between two opposing groupings inside the Omonia organization there. Police were obliged to intervene to stop the physical quarreling.
The Greek letter asked that Lici be removed from the post after allegedly assisting people to get Greek visas for which they were asked to pay cash of 200 Euros or more.
Police are investigating testimony from different people who were expecting to get the Greek visas.
