TIRANA, March 29 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha underwent last weekend a surgery on his leg. On Monday he appeared in excellent health at a meeting with the governing Democratic Party lawmakers.
He was taken to the American Hospital in the capital Tirana late Friday evening for a knee operation.
The premier also spoke Monday of an alleged use of the surgery for political profit by the opposition leader.
