UAE set to invest in Albania
TIRANA, June 7 – UAE ambassador to Greece Abdul Hadi Al-Khoja presented his credentials as the UAE non-resident ambassador to Albania to Albanian President Bamir Topi.
Welcoming Al-Khoja, Topi expressed his country’s interest in a close and fruitful cooperation with the UAE at the bilateral, regional and international levels.
Topi asked the new UAE ambassador to convey greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
For his part, Al-Khoja conveyed greetings and best wishes for the president and people of Albania from H.H Sheikh Khalifa
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilir Meta also received the new Ambassador and praised the level of relations between the two countries and expressed the confidence for new economic developments in the future, especially in the field of investments.
The opening of the Albanian Embassy in Abu Dhabi soon is a concrete indication.
Meta expressed his gratitude for the continuous support provided by the United Arab Emirates, which is also related to financing important projects in Albania, as the construction of Kukes Airport.
Meta also thanked the United Arab Emirates for the commitment to finance a new road Tirana-Elbasan with Abu Dhabi funding.
He also expressed the gratitude of the Albanian Government for the contribution that the United Arab Emirates have provided to peace and stability in our region, touching specifically on the Kosovo recognition.
Meta expressed his desire to host soon Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Ambassador Alkajah stressed that friendship between our two peoples will be further consolidated and extended the willingness of the Government of United Arab Emirates to strengthen political and economic cooperation between two countries in terms of the bilateral and multilateral relations.
