AJC supports Albania, Croatia accession to NATO

WASHIGNTON, Sep 20 – The American Jewish Committee (AJC) supports ratification of the bilateral NATO protocols with the Albania and Croatia
“Albania and Croatia’s accession to NATO will recognize their achievements in building free and democratic societies and their contributions to the global fight against terrorism and religious extremism,” wrote AJC President Richard J. Sideman and Executive Director David A. Harris to Senator Joseph R. Biden, chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, and Sen. Richard G. Lugar, ranking member of the committee in a letter to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
The letter also expressed hope that Macedonia will be invited to join soon.
