TIRANA, April 9 – Albania is one of the ten Balkan countries where the tax burden registered one of the highest increases in the past four years, but yet continues to collect one of the region’s lowest levels of taxes as a percentage of the GDP, unveiling the tax administration’s slowly recovering efficiency and ongoing high levels of tax evasion, a study shows.
