TIRANA, Jan. 13 – The Albanian Interior Ministry reported Sunday that no notification from Macedonian officials has been received on possible change in visa regulations beginning February 1.

The ministry spokesman said the Government of Albania had not received “official notification for the change of the regime of the movement of the citizens toward Macedonia,” adding current Macedonian visa requirements would remain in place.

Skopje has announced Albanian will need to request visa at the Macedonian embassy in Tirana, which has sparked an outcry from Albanians here and in Macedonia.
