TIRANA, Aug 12 – After Montenegro, Albania will have the second highest GDP growth this year, according to the International Monetary Fund.
Albania will see a six percent growth, following Montenegro’s 7.2 percent.
The same figure is forecast for Albania in 2009.
All other countries will have a slower GDP growth this year, mostly due to the impact from the recession within the Euro zone.
The World Bank has forecast a 6.2 percent growth for Albania, adding that along with Hungary and Turkey, these will be the only countries with such an increase this year. (Tirana Times Staff)
