Albania supports the ” Paris Principles and Commitments”

TIRANA, Oct 7 – The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that late last month Albania declared its support for the “Paris Principles and Commitments”, thus becoming part of the 84 most advanced countries worldwide committed to ban violence against children in armed conflicts.
Originally, the above-mentioned Declaration was signed in Paris in 2007 by 58 states, which committed themselves to demilitarization, prevention and re-integration of children involved in armed conflicts.
“Paris Commitments” represent a document which is added to other existing legal mechanisms in the UN framework, designed to prevent involvement and violence against children in armed conflicts
