TIRANA, Sep 3 – Kosovar Foreign Minister Skender Hyseni has completed a visit to Tirana.
Hyseni met with Albania’s president, premier and his counterpart, during which they discussed bilateral ties, the region and Prishtina’s efforts to receive more recognition following its independence in February.
Albanian Foreign Minister Lulzim Basha said he and all other government institutions were working to lobby for Kosova and urge more countries to recognize it.
More than 40 countries, including most of the European Union members, have already recognized Prishtina as an independent state.
Hyseni said Kosova had expected more recognition from the Arab Islamic countries, adding he would visit Jera next week to meet with top officials of the Islamic Organization.
