DURRES, Dec. 22 – Defense Minister Fatmir Mediu said that the country’s army would become totally professional in 2010 and military authorities were focused in recruiting professional soldiers.
The ministry held its annual meeting in the western port city of Durres discussing on what they have done this year and what challenges are ahead. The minister said that next year’s first quarter will be very important. Albania expects to get a membership invitation at NATO’s next Bucharest summit in April 2008.
