Albanian, Croatian top police officials meet in Tirana

TIRANA, July 2 – Croatia’s top police official, Marian Benko, visited Albania to talk with his host counterpart, Ahmet Prenci, regarding further strengthening bilateral and regional cooperation in the fight against organized crime and illegal trafficking.
Cooperation among police was the main topic of discussion and proposals included creating an online connection between the two countries to quickly exchange information.
Another topic discussed was ending illegal border crossings through stronger cooperation between the two police agencies.
During his visit, Benko would also meet with Interior Minister Bujar Nishani and other top police officials.
