TIRANA, Nov. 12 – Albania’s tourist destinations and cultural heritage were promoted for four days at the World Travel Market in London, the biggest international tourism exhibition bringing together 5,000 exhibitors representing 184 countries and regions.
Albania was represented by the National Tourism Agency with a stand of 82.5 m2 in the shape of a peninsula situated next to other Mediterranean countries such as Greece, Malta and Croatia.
“The international fairs are a good opportunity to better promote Albania and engage in cooperation with tour operators from different countries and learn from their experience,” said Albania’s Tourism Minister Eglantina Gjermeni who during the three-day fair held from Nov. 4 to 7 met senior officials of the World Tourism Organization, the World Travel & Tourism Council and UK-based investors and representatives of the London-based Shpresa Programme Association.
Staged annually in London, World Travel Market, the leading global event for the travel industry, is a vibrant must attend four-day business-to-business event presenting a diverse range of destinations and industry sectors to UK and international travel professionals. It is a unique opportunity for the whole global travel trade to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business under one roof.
