VLORA, Oct 19 – Police report arresting three persons considered to be the main suspects in using a speedboat to smuggle 116 kilograms of cannabis sativa earlier this month.
Aranit Bida, 32, from Fier, Blerim Beqiraj, 34, from Mallakastra and Avni Dhrami, 42, from Vlora were arrested after being named as suspects in the drug smuggling incident at the Karaburun Peninsula on Oct. 11.
Also, in Gjirokastra, police arrested Genci Zumbula, 26, for smuggling drugs.
In Tirana, Bledi Allushi, 31, was also arrested and charged with trafficking drugs.
