BERAT, Jan 12 – A considerable amount of ammunition was found in a tunnel in a village in Berat district, south of Tirana.
Police found ammunition of different caliber in Lapardha including 50 boxes with rounds of ammunition and 20 shells.
It is believed the ammunition was taken there during the 1997 unrest when army depots were looted by the population.
No person has been arrested.
