GJIROKASTRA, Nov 4 – Police arrested two persons for possessing drugs at home.
Two young men were arrested earlier this week in the southern city of Gjirokastra. Police found 100 grams of marijuana at their rented apartment and also some grams in the pockets of one of them.
Fighting drug traffic remains a top priority for the country’s police. Albania is a transit country for hard drugs with the local gangs having close links to other Mafia groups in the western European countries.
