Arrests of alleged thieves

TIRANA, May 11 – Police reported a series of arrests of persons trying to steal in the capital Tirana, in a clear sign that alleged criminals should not exploit the political situation due to the local elections.
A 23-year old man from neighboring Kosovo was arrested and his 22-year old friend was declared at large after they are being considered as the main suspects for the theft of a bet shop in the capital.
In another operation police arrested a 24 year old woman while she was trying to steal a Renault car. She had been sentenced before also for theft.
A 26-year old man was arrested in Kod철Kam캬 close to the capital, after seized in an attempt to steal fuel from a truck.
A teenager was arrested in Tirana while he was trying to steal some stores of a company.
A 24-year old man was arrested in the capital after he had stolen different items at the apartments of two persons. He had used a pistol to oblige the people hand over certain amounts of money to him.
He had committed the act late at night at a suburban quarter in the capital. He is also a suspect of the theft of a car in the western port city of Durres on the same day. His brother is declared at large.
