TIRANA, Oct 13؂anks in Albania want to partner with the government in city development by financing infrastructure projects, domestic newspaper Zeri i Popullit reported.
“The government should introduce city planning to the banking system in order to give banks the opportunity to fund projects,” Tirana Bank General Manager, Dimtris Santixis said during the Conference on Tourism and Real Estate in Albania.
“The Albanian government should offer banks information on city planning, while banks should define their areas of interest regarding financing,” he said.
“It is important to say that the era of spontaneous investment is now over. We have entered a new collaboration phase, in which funding is well defined. We are interested in supporting modern and visionary projects, which have been carefully studied,” Stantixis added.
