TIRANA, Dec 17 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha on Wednesday introduced the new identity cards and biometric passports to equip Albanians.
In the presentation at the cabinet meeting the premier said that Albanians starting from capital Tirana could now apply to get the new IDs and passports assured that all voters would be fully equipped for the next year’s general elections.
The voters’ list and IDs have been a main shortcoming for post-communist Albania’s elections.
