TIRANA, Sep 21 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha has left for a visit to the United States to attend the 64th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Berisha is accompanied by his Deputy and Foreign Minister, Ilir Meta.
The Albanian delegation will have a busy schedule of bilateral meetings with world leaders and other personalities.
Berisha is to deliver a greeting speech to the Millennium Challenge Corporation and he will be a guest to the 2009 Summit on Climate Change. The Prime Minister will be the keynote speaker to the “Global Creative Leadership” summit, in the panel on education and impact of the digital technology on education.
Berisha and his spouse will be among many other world leaders, heads of participating delegations to the 64th annual session of the UN General Assembly to attend a gala evening with the US President, Barack Obama, at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts.
During the proceedings of the 64th annual session of the UN General Assembly Berisha will also deliver a speech.
Berisha will be the special guest to the traditional ceremony of the opening of the NASDAQ Stock Market.
Berisha is also expected to hold meetings with Albanian community representatives living in the States and who make a worthy contribution for the country’s life and its policy.
