TIRANA – In an interview with The Wall Street Journal on Saturday while at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha said that the so-called Greater Albania was neither in the minds of the Albanians in Albania nor of those in Kosova. He expected Kosova’s independence to be beneficial also for Serbia, arguing that would be the way to cut the ties with its bitter past and look forwards to an integrated future in Europe.
Berisha said that countries in the region would react well to Kosova’s independence because they knew that was the best solution for future stability.
Topi also dismissed any possibility of “border changes”.
“Albania will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Kosova in helping to overcome the post-status challenges,” Topi said while meeting with Thaci.
