TIRANA, July 6 – Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha took part in the Croatian summit along with other heads of government and senior personalities.
Berisha said that following the Lisbon Treaty, the countries looking forward to becoming members of the European Union should strive harder for better performance in their major goals, NATO and EU integration, adding that was also Tirana’s intention.
The Albanian premier further said his executive had focused on the fight against organized crime, corruption, the informal economy and fiscal evasion, turning the country into a very attractive possibility for foreign investors.
Berisha also said that Kosova’s and Montenegro’s independence was fundamental for the Balkan region and beyond.
Berisha met with many participants taking part in the summit.
