We have not seen a better development since Countour Global withdrew from the contract for the construction of the ‘Kosova e Re’ TPP.

It saved us 19 million euros because the chances of the government ratifying the contract in the Parliament were zero. I will not waste any more of my words to prove it was a very damaging contract.

All was said and argued, but it fell on deaf ears like so many other things. This country proved once again that our politicians leave no chance for anyone from outside their party to convince, through strong arguments, that the decision they have made is harmful. They are vaccinated , it seems, against any suggestions coming from outside!

Now, what can be described as “the king is dead – long live the king” may happen. Unfortunately, yesterday I read such warnings, which can be understood as: “we will not change a substantial thing, or a concept, but there will be no abuse; as it has happened many times before, by the “saviors” of Kosovar energy. I believe that the new approach should be in line with the best democratic principles, transparency and accountability.
