TIRANA, Feb. 5 – The governing Democratic Party of Prime Minister Sali Berisha will get involved in a series of meetings with their smaller allies this month in an effort to give a push to the much-needed reforms in the country looking to become a NATO member in April.
Smaller governing coalition political forces have often expressed dissatisfaction on certain issues of cabinet members.
It has been often said that a roundtable of the governing coalition would be convened to discuss all such topics.
But the local media reports sources of the Democratic party saying that instead Berisha and other top leaders would get involved in t뵥-ழ뵥 talks with each coalition member.
The governing coalition is made up of five other political forces _ Republican party, New Democratic party, Christian Democratic party, Agrarian Environmentalist party and the Human Rights Union Party, which all have cabinet members.
The HRUP and CDP have often said that the cabinet should change some of its members, an idea that is opposed by the other parties. At the same time it is generally believed that Berisha will make a cabinet reshuffle after the NATO Bucharest summit in early April, when the country hopes to get the membership invitation.
