TIRANA, Feb. 21 – In what seems to be another step ahead in the country’s integration into the European Union the government passed last week a decision on environmental impact assessment, which is considered as a big step towards environmental protection.
According to this law, any new building in Albania should first secure the environmental permit. It only excludes those projects designed for national defense.
All those who want to build something they should first have the environmental license at the National Center.
Environment is turning into a big issue in the country, due to the violation of the laws, but also a point of interest for the government in its efforts of integration into the European bloc.
