Five military sentenced to imprisonment for ammo traffic

TIRANA, June 10 – The Tirana court sentenced five former military officials to imprisonment for trafficking in some 100,000 rounds of bullets.
Arif Mata, Gramoz Bendo and Pajtim Lama were sentenced to five and a half years each, Medi Hasani and Nasi Strori to five years imprisonment each.
They were arrested more than a year ago while they were transporting the 7.62 mm caliber rounds taken from a military depot in Berat to Durres to be exchanged for small pistols.(Tirana Times Staff)
