TIRANA, March 3 – European Union Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele is to pay a visit to Albania on March 19, according to the Albanian Shqip newspaper.
The visit is considered to be essential along the country’s efforts of integration into the bloc.
Albania is completing the answers to thousands of items of the questionnaire for its candidate status.
The ongoing political crisis in the country is to be of considerable importance during Fuele’s visit.
The development of the domestic democracy is one of the major issues Brussels insists Albania should deal with on its own.
Unlike other times during the political crisis this time the European Commission office and also the Spanish ambassador, whose country holds the bloc’s rotating presidency, have been very concerned and directly involved in resolving the conflict.
