TIRANA, March 15 – FYROM police rescued two illegal migrants from Albania who had severe frostbite and hypothermia after getting trapped in deep snow on Mount Korab.
They used a helicopter to rescue the men in their early 20s. They had crossed the border Saturday and got stuck in the snow.
The men called their families in Albania by cell phone and asked for help. Albanian police notified their FYROM counterparts.
The men were located Sunday and transferred to a hospital in the town of Diber.
