TIRANA, Dec 10 – Albanian top police official, Ahmet Prenci, and the German Ambassador to Tirana, Bernd Borchart, signed a donation contract for technical equipment and other material to the Albanian special police forces RENEA on Tuesday.
The equipment, costing some 56,500 Euros, will help police during the intervention in difficult situations.
Germany has been a consistent donor and assistant to the Albanian police, as well as through the European assistant mission, PAMECA.
Police in both countries have held a series of joint operations in the fight against organized crime.
