TIRANA, Aug 25 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha was invited by German Chancellor Angela Merkel to visit. Berlin, according to a government statement.
Berisha met Monday with a delegation from the Conrad Adenhauer foundation headed by Thomas Kunze.
Berisha thanked Germany for its assistance to Albania, ranking it first in aid if counted as aid per person.
The government statement said that Kunze said Berisha’s visit and meeting with Merkel was welcomed and looked forward to as an important event and further strengthening relations between the two governments and countries. Berisha welcomed the presence of German investors in the country, which he considered to have great potential and offered his government’s support to them. (Tirana Times Staff)
