TIRANA, Jan. 4 – Governing Democratic Party senior official, Aleksand철Biberaj, said the country’s political parties would carry on with the process of internal reform that would lead to changes in its 2008 leadership.
Biberaj believes that once the Democratic Party came to power, a vacuum in the party’s proper functioning emerged.
Therefore, these internal reforms would aim to address this vacuum and separate the party’s functions from the executive ones relating to the Democratic Party government in power.
Moreover, it is expected the Democratic Party will map out a new electoral program for the 2009 general elections.
