TIRANA, Dec. 13 – The government decided Wednesday to give a financial assistance of 5 million leks each to four families of the victims of the July helicopter crash transporting Gramoz Pashko after an accident toward Italy. The helicopter fell in the Adriatic due to harsh winds killing four pilots, technician and a doctor together with Pashko and his son. The Bell 222 helicopter disappeared while carrying Gramoz Pashko, a former Albanian deputy prime minister, to a hospital in Italy, as well as his 24-year-old son, two pilots, a technician and a doctor. Pashko was being transported to Italy for treatment following an accident. Pashko, who is currently the rector of the private University of New York Tirana, was being transported to Italy for treatment following an accident earlier in the day.
