TIRANA, Oct 29 – Albanian Ambassador to Athens, Greece, Vili Minarolli said that Tirana expected Greece to ratify its Stabilization and Association Agreement this week.
Minarolli said that the delays from Athens were the result of technical reasons like that of translation of the material, without excluding international frictions of its politics.
Tirana also expects Greece to ratify its NATO membership protocol.
Minarolli said that the SAA was sent to the parliament that would likely ratify it this week.
“There is no problem why Greece would hamper the integration of our country into the Atlantic structures and threaten its integration,” said Minarolli in an interview to Albanian newspaper Shqip.
The ambassador said that Albanian immigrants living in Greece, giving the figure of one million, were the linking bridge of the two neighboring countries and that they have become a social, economic and political factory there.
