TIRANA, Nov 20 – Deputy Foreign Minister Edith Harxhi ended a one-week tour in the Middle East and Arab countries with her last stop in Egypt.
She met with her Egyptian counterpart talking about bilateral political consultations, exchanging ideas on the whole spectrum of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Harxhi gave an overview of the overall positive developments in Albania, specifically with regard to the economic indices and the measures taken for promoting foreign business and investments and the progress on the European integration process.
She also expressed her confidence and desire for a larger presence of Egyptian investments in Albania.
Harxhi laid emphasis on the positive effects and the new climate of peace and security in the region accompanying the establishment and consolidation of the new Kosovo state.
She noted the significance for Egypt, as a large, very important and a friendly country to Albania and Albanians, to recognize Kosovo as soon as possible.
Harxhi also met with the General Secretary of the Arab League, Amr Moussa.
Moussa also said he would support within the 22 members Arab League the speediest possible recognition of Kosovo’s Independence.
