TIRANA, Dec. 17 – The High Council of Justice, the country’s top managerial justice institution, convened a session Monday with its three new members.
Guxim Zenelaj, Shkelqim Miri and Dhurata Haveri took their new posts at the HCJ.
The HCJ also nominated Valbona Vata as chief inspector. Vata will be responsible to check the work of the courts and present its recommendations.
Justice is Albania’s weakest link in its ongoing efforts to become integrated into the international institutions, NATO and the European Union.
President Bamir Topi, elected last July and HCJ leadership, recently elected, has set as a priority changing the image of the country’s justice system.
