Heat takes first victims

FIER, BERAT, June 22 – A teenager drowned Sunday while he swimming in the Vjosa River. The 16-year old boy was with three other friends at Ferras village, Fier district, swimming in the river. The teenager was seen to swim away and later found drowned, becoming one of the first victims of current heat wave in the country.
In a previous case, a 12-year-old boy was found dead after swimming at the Osum River in the village of Syzeze in Berati district.
