TIRANA, Jan 7 – Albanians will be able of getting their new identity cards starting from next Monday, Jan. 12.
That announcement was made known at a cabinet meeting from Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
All adults starting from 18 years old were invited by Berisha to go and take it which will also serve as for the upcoming general elections expected in June.
Upon application people will be able to get the IDs within ten days.
Albanians have long lacked the IDs, something which has also harshly damaged the transparency of the elections held without the proper identification or the lack of the proper civil register.
