Island ratifies Albania’s NATO membership protocol

TIRANA, Feb 12 – Island became the last NATO member country to ratify Albania’s and Croatia’s membership protocol.
Three other countries – the Netherlands, Ireland and Greece _ remain to do that before the two western Balkan countries may really look forward to the full membership at the alliance’s summit in April.
First it was in April last year at the Bucharest summit when Albania and Croatia got the membership invitation that was followed in July with the signing of the NATO membership protocol that should now be ratified by all members countries.
