Prof. Massimo Prada of Milano University organizes this conference and workshop on the main characteristics of the language used through technical mediation: SMS, instant messages, email, wiki, blogs, and social media. The conversation will be built around the following question: ‘’Up to which point could an email be compared to a traditional letter? What needs could instant messages respond to? What about social media? How do Twitter and Facebook differ? Is Web 2.0 as innovative as claimed?’’
Prada is an Italian Linguistics and Philology professor at the University of Milano, and director of the University Center C. & G. Feltrinelli for the Italian language and culture promotion.
