TIRANA, March 1 – A final rallying call has been issued to Keighley’s public to help save palliative care services in Albania.
Sue Ryder Care’s Albania teams נwhich provide care to more than 2,500 terminally ill people and their families in two of the country’s biggest cities נTirana and Durres נdesperately need 50,000 pounds this financial year to continue.
Fundraisers at Manorlands, the Oxenhope Sue Ryder Care hospice are urging people to support an International Big Wigs challenge.
Spokeswoman Katie Rhodes said: “International Big Wigs challenges individuals or teams of people to take 50 pounds and hold events and fund raise through the month of March so they can give it back to us with substantial interest. Your support will make a real difference and, hopefully, ensure that Ryder Albania’s patients and their families will continue to receive the care and support that they need.”
