KAKAVIE, Nov 17 – A student was arrested and two other persons considered at large and accused of illegally trying to transport 108 kilograms of marijuana across the border into Greece.
Police saw the group about one kilometer far from the Greek border and tried to arrest them but they ran away leaving the drugs behind them. The 24-ytear old student was later arrested in a nearby place.
In another operation codenamed Cousin police arrested three persons in capital Tirana and found 327.4 grams of heroin and 14 grams of marijuana.
Edison Sinani, 23, Elis Shahu, 24, and Taulant Mekollari, 22, were arrested in Tirana and the drugs were found in her Mercedes car.
