TIRANA, July 26 – The movie, Time of Comet, produced by Fatmir Koci and based on Ismail Kadare’s The Wayward Year, has begun filming in neighboring Macedonia.
The Albanian-German film is funded with 2.5 million euros by the German LARA Enterprises and also from the Cinematography National Center.
The movie is a romantic comedy based upon events in 1913 prior to World War I.
It will be produced in Macedonia and Albania.
The leading actor is German Blerim Destani, of Albanian origin, and also others like Ralph Moeller of that “Gladiator” movie, German artist Tomas Heinze, Masiela Lusha, known for her movies in the United States, and Macedonian actor Vlado Jovanovski.
Also cast in the movie are actors Genti Zenelaj, Xhevdet Jashari, Luan Jaha, Adem Karaga, Marsela Lena, Naomi Valeska. The photo director is Irish Donald Gillian.
