National Albanian American Council supports Kosova Plan on EULEX deployment

TIRANA, Nov 18 – The National Albanian American Council (NAAC) fully endorsed the Kosova government’s four-point declaration on the basis which EULEX could be deployed in Kosova.
The four point plan outlines that EULEX must be deployed throughout Kosova in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosova, Kosova’s Declaration of Independence, the Ahtisaari Plan, the Joint Action Plan of February 2008 and the invitation of EULEX by the institutions of Kosova.
“NAAC supports the rejection of the proposed United Nations’ Six-Point plan as it neglects the above stated documents and the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosova,” said a statement. “We commend the institutions of the Republic of Kosova for their principled approach and cooperation with the United States of America, the European Union and NATO.
“All and any agreements made on behalf of Kosova by international organizations must be in cooperation with the democratically elected government of the Republic of Kosova, and in full respect of its sovereign institutions and territorial integrity” said Martin Shkreli, NAAC Chairman of the Board.
NAAC also thanked Daniel Fried, US Assistant Secretary of State, and Pieter Feith, EU Special Representative to Kosova, for their support of the four-point plan proposed by Kosova’s institutions.
“We urge the international community to reject further destructive efforts by Serbia that undermines the results achieved and the successful future of an independent Kosova, a staunch ally and responsible partner of the Euro-Atlantic democracies.”
