New IDs, Passports Next Year, Says Minister

TIRANA, June 10 – Interior Minister Bujar Nishani declared Tuesday that Albanians would have their new identity cards and biometric passports beginning early next year.
Nishani also said that every Albania will be obliged to have the new documents, which will cost 1,100 leks for IDs and 5,000 leks for the passports.
Meanwhile, local authorities announced they have removed from the national register all persons having their name in two or more places.
