No-car day observed in Albania

TIRANA, Sep. 22 – Tirana and several other Albanian municipalities observed Wednesday as the No-Car Day with people temporarily abandoning their cars in their daily trips.
Hundreds of bicycles were seen on Tirana’s Deshmoret e Kombit Boulevard headed by environment ministry officials and several foreign diplomats.
Dutch Ambassador Henk van den Dool said the Albanian capital was one of the most polluted he had seen and also criticized Albanians for not respecting traffic rules.
