TIRANA, Sep 15 – Aleksander Biberaj, the Democratic Party lawmaker who leads the Albanian delegation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe stressed, during the last meeting of CoE’s Political Commission, that there is no resemblance between Kosova and South Ossetia since Kosova has always been unique.
The meeting, held in Paris, discussed the recent armed conflict between Georgia and Russia. Biberaj asked his European counterparts to stick to the agenda and opposed Russian and Serbian colleagues who made comparison between the countries.
Albania has also denounced the Russian violation of Georgia’s territory.
