Obama, a new name for a square in Gjirokastra

GJIROKASTRA, Nov 9 – Barack Obama could be the name of a square in southern Gjirokastra city.
The Roma community inhabitants of a quarter in Gjirokastra have started to collect signatures for setting Obama as the name of the main square there.
They said that indirectly Obama also represents their community.
Upon collecting the signatures they will present the referendum to the city mayor where they are to ask for their support.
They say that US elections also showed how the world was fighting racism.
