GJIROKASTRA, Dec 20 – A ceremony was held last week at the District Court of Appeals in Gjirokastra to mark the start of construction of a public information office in the courthouse.
The project, supported by the OSCE Presence in Albania and USAID, will establish a ‘One Stop Shop’ for litigants, lawyers and citizens seeking information or assistance about court proceduresزeducing both the time and costs of going to several offices in the courthouse.
Through the project, the court hopes to improve access to information for citizens, increase transparency of court procedures, and increase trust in the court and the Albanian judicial system.
