TIRANA, Aug 5 – Recent political moves will also affect the composition of parliamentary factions at its opening session in September.
By the end of the last session, a new group in the center was created with some former opposition Socialist lawmakers joined by a Republican and a Democrat.
That move will affect the make-up of the agrarian environmentalist grouping as one of its members left for this new one.
The moves inside the parliamentary groupings has also affected the Democratic Alliance of Neritan Ceka and the Social Democracy of Paskal Milo, both of the opposition.
There are also some ‘free’ lawmakers such as Nikoll Lesi, a Christian Democrat, and Taulant Dedja, a former Socialist. Others ‘released’ from Ceka’s grouping should also decide where to go.
Spartak Ngjela, former Democrat and Petro Koci, former Socialist, have yet to decide what to do with themselves.
Other lawmakers have also changed political parties including Gilman Bakalli from a Democrat to a Christian Democrat.
A parliamentary faction is required to have at least seven lawmakers.
